Returns and refunds

Fredesigner wants every order to be clear before production begins. Because many of our window treatments are made to your selected size, fabric, lining, mount type and control details, return eligibility depends on the item type and the issue reported.

Non-custom items

Eligible non-custom items may be returned within 30 days of delivery when they are unused, unwashed, undamaged and in their original packaging. Please contact support before sending anything back so we can confirm the return address and instructions.

Custom window treatments

Custom curtains, Roman shades, bamboo shades and other made-to-order window treatments are produced for the measurements and options submitted with the order. These custom products are not eligible for return or refund because of measurement mistakes, color preference, change of mind, wrong mount choice, wrong room decision or other subjective fit and style reasons.

Damaged, defective or wrong items

If your order arrives damaged, defective or different from what you ordered, contact us within 7 days of delivery. Include your order number, a clear description of the issue, photos of the product, packaging photos when relevant, and any label or measurement photos that help us review the case. After review, we will offer the appropriate replacement, repair, refund or other resolution.

Color and measurement responsibility

Fabric color, weave, texture and opacity can look different under different room lighting, screen settings and surrounding finishes. We strongly recommend ordering swatches before placing a custom order. Customers are responsible for checking measurements, mount type, fabric choice, lining choice, quantity and shipping details before checkout.

Cancellations before production

If you need to cancel or change a custom order, contact us as soon as possible. We can only approve changes or cancellations before the order enters production. Once production has started, the order may no longer be cancellable because materials and labor have already been assigned to your custom specifications.
