They actually add a little bit of privacy when needed and do assist filter out the intense South Carolina light. The fabric is good, and the color matches just what I wanted. Very happy with the purchase. Since they are waterproof, the rain essentially rolls off of them during downpours. Have had these for about a couple months and have not noticed any mildew or anything on them.

The fabric is beautiful and the pinch pleats are perfect and elevate our new bathroom renovation. However, the "waterproof layer" is simply a cheap plastic liner that is provided. I would have thought for this price point and for being custom made, the liner would be integrated into the curtain. And it has grommets to boot, so very difficult to hang. Buyer beware. Its a bit disappointing that the liner is not sewn in. I did not expect to receive just a cheap add on. As an interior designer, I wanted to test the quality of these curtain. The quality is there, just not on the shower curtains.
