How much light will each option block?
Unlined fabrics and woven shades filter light; they are not blackout. For a bedroom or nursery, add a blackout liner where the product offers one. An inside-mounted shade can still let some light in at the edges; an outside mount, or curtains layered over a shade, covers more of the frame. How do I measure for curtains and shades?
Use a steel tape measure and follow the guide for your product type. For inside-mounted Roman and bamboo shades, enter the narrowest width exactly as measured and do not subtract anything: the factory deducts 3/8 inch during production.
- Curtains: measure to the nearest inch. Mount the rod about 6–10 inches above the window frame and extend it about 6–15 inches past each side. Pleated headers already have fullness sewn in, so order the finished width to match the rod. Flat headers such as grommet, rod pocket, back tab and flat hooks are ordered at about 1.5–2 times the rod width (2 times recommended). Measure the length from the top of the rod to the floor or your chosen end point.
- Roman and bamboo shades: measure to the nearest 1/8 inch, taking the width at the top, middle and bottom and the height at the left, center and right. An inside mount needs at least 2 inches of flat window depth, and motorized shades need more, so check the product page. With less depth, choose an outside mount.

How long does a custom order take?
For custom window treatments shipped to the United States, allow about 7–10 business days after order confirmation, including production and standard transit. This is an estimate, not a guaranteed delivery date. Express shipping shortens the transit time only; it does not shorten production.
How much is shipping?
Standard shipping to the United States and Canada is USD 18.00 when the discounted subtotal is below USD 225.00, and free at USD 225.00 or more. Express shipping is USD 139.00 per order. Rates for other destinations are in the Shipping Policy.
Are sample books free?
No. Sample books are sold separately, and each price is shown on its sample product page. Sample shipping is USD 13.99 to the United States and Canada. Sample purchases are not credited toward a later order and are not returnable. A sample book lets you check color, weave and how much light passes through in your own room. See sample books.
Can I return a custom order?
Custom-made items that match the confirmed order are not eligible for return, exchange or refund. If an item arrives wrong, damaged, defective or materially different from the confirmed description, contact support within 30 days of delivery; approved claims may be resolved with a remake, replacement, repair support or refund. Eligible non-custom items, such as bedding, tablecloths and towels, may be requested for return within 30 days of delivery if they are unused, unwashed, undamaged and in the original packaging.
